Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) clarified during his confirmation that he will “Reduce himself from Hillary Clinton’s Investigations”
He was asked about this by the Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley. As some Democrats have complained that given his role in Donald Trump’s campaign.May result in Jeff Sessions not being able to look impartially into any investigations into Hillary Clinton’s emails or foundation.
Jeff Sessions said himself that “Some of the comments I made regarding Hillary Clinton could place my objectivity in question”. He also expressed that he thought the proper thing for him to do would be to “recuse myself from any questions involving Secretary Clinton.”
Sessions and Trump did call on the FBI during the election campaign for Hillary Clinton to be investigated and prosecuted for her use of a private email server. However since the election both Trump and Sessions do seem to be pulling back from that,in order to try to unite the country and look forward instead of back.
Sessions finally added that , “We can never have a political dispute turn into a criminal dispute”. He also spoke and expressed his intent on demonstrating some of the key founding values of democracy, saying “This country does not punish its political enemies, but this country ensures no one is above the law.”
Jeff Sessions acted morally throughout all of these Liberal attacks and showed he has the strength and ability to enforce the law properly which is something we have missed over the past 8 years.
